Como have officially announced their signing of Brazilian wing-back Yan Couto on loan from Borussia Dortmund for the 2026-27 season.

Recent reports indicate that Como will pay a fee of €2m to sign Couto on loan for the season and that the deal also includes an option to buy for a further €20m. The 24-year-old cost Dortmund €30m when his loan move from Manchester City was made permanent in 2024.

“I’m very happy to be here, I really like the team’s style of play and its philosophy, and I hope I can help the team improve even more. I believe this is an important step in my career, and I can’t wait to get started,” Couto said in a statement on the club website.

Como head coach Cesc Fabregas added: “ “Yan is a brave and technically strong player who gives us different options on the right side. He likes to play forward, has great energy and fits well with the way we want to play. He is still young, but already has important experience, and we believe he can continue to grow with us.”

Couto becomes Como’s fourth new signing of the summer transfer window, following the earlier arrivals of Kaiki, Mattia Liberali, Luis Milla, and Andres Cuenca.

Couto has 40 Bundesliga appearances to his name plus a further 15 in the Champions League from his last two seasons with Borussia Dortmund. He also has four caps to his name with the Brazil national team, all of which came during the 2023-24 season.
