Official: Dragusin joins Fiorentina from Tottenham in €19m deal | OneFootball

Fiorentina have completed the signing of defender Radu Dragusin from Tottenham Hotspur on loan, with an option to buy that could become an obligation, in a deal reported at €19m.

Dragusin arrived in Florence yesterday for medical checks and the transfer was finalised this evening. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the loan costs €1.5m and the €17.5m obligation to buy is triggered by his 22nd appearance, with Tottenham also due a 10 per cent sell-on.

Viola director Fabio Paratici, who worked for Spurs until February, led the negotiations.

The Romania international returns to Serie A after rising through Juventus’s academy and loans at Sampdoria, Salernitana and Genoa. He joined Genoa for €9.7m in summer 2023, then moved to Spurs six months later for €28m plus add-ons.

An anterior cruciate ligament tear in January 2025 ruled him out for almost a year. He made 48 appearances for Spurs, only 11 last season and six of those starts, and now heads back to Italy with Fiorentina.
