This afternoon, FC Bayern Munich officially confirmed that Bara Sapoko Ndiaye has signed a professional contract until June 2031.
The Senegal international moved to Munich on loan from Gambia in the winter and gave it everything to secure a permanent transfer.
With four strong competitive appearances in the second half of the season, the 18-year-old has rewarded for his efforts.
Following his performances for Bayern last season, he was called up to Senegal’s 2026 World Cup squad and made one appearance.
“Bara is a great footballer, who’s found his feet in a completely new environment at FC Bayern in a very short space of time and earned the acceptance of the team very quickly.
"We’ve observed him for a long time, he was captain of his team, has made impressive progress over the last 24 months and built on that in Munich.
"As a central midfielder, Bara relies on his dynamism and speed on the ball, he’s an intelligent player and also brilliant off the pitch.
“He already speaks decent German and has integrated into our team within a very short time,” said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund.
