Michele Di Gregorio has officially joined Bournemouth from Juventus on a paid loan deal with an option to buy for nearly €13m plus add-ons.

Italian goalkeeper Di Gregorio has officially joined Bournemouth on loan from Juventus. Both clubs confirmed the move on Tuesday morning.

As usual, Juventus have also disclosed the financial details of the operation.

Di Gregorio joins Bournemouth: official transfer fee

The English club have paid €1.3m for Di Gregorio’s one-year loan, but the fee could be increased by €800,000 upon achievement of performance-related targets.

The deal also includes an option to buy at the end of the season for €12.7m, payable in three financial years, plus potential €1.5m add-ons.

“Michele is a goalkeeper with excellent qualities and valuable experience at the highest level,” said Bournemouth director Tiago Pinto.

“He has consistently demonstrated his ability in Serie A and in European competitions, and we believe he will be an excellent addition to our squad.”

Di Gregorio spent two years at Juventus, conceding 84 goals in 84 matches and keeping 36 clean sheets.

The Serie A giants have made big changes between the sticks this summer, having also sent Mattia Perin to Serie B side Palermo.

Juventus have signed Guglielmo Vicario on loan from Tottenham with an option to buy, and will soon welcome Kamil Grabara from Wolfsburg on the same transfer terms.
