Official | Lille sign Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda

Lille have signed Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda (28), both clubs have announced. The Japan international has signed a four-year deal with Lille, tying him with Les Dogues until 2030. Ueda was the Eredivise’s top scorer last season with 25 goals scored in 31 games played. He also scored a brace in the 2026 World Cup against Tunisia. Ueda will bring much-needed competition to Olivier Giroud, until Hamza Igamane’s return from injury. He’ll wear the No. 18 jersey for Lille.

L‘Equipe reported that Lille president Olivier Létang wanted to make sure Davide Ancelotti could rely on a striker before sanctioning Fernandez-Pardo’s exit. The signing of Ueda for a cut-price €15m deal could be seen as something as a coup given Ueda’s reliability. Ueda underwent a medical on Monday. He could make his Ligue 1 debut on Thursday against Toulouse.
