FC Nantes right-back Fabien Centonze (28) has been loaned to Serie A side Hellas Verona on Deadline Day, both clubs have announced. The loan deal includes an option to make the move permanent. Centonze had fallen out with then-Nantes manager Pierre Aristouy and sustained several injuries in the first half of the Ligue 1 season, leading to a meager playing time. Centonze featured in only five games in all competitions with Les Canaris.
With Nantes being packed with right-backs the likes of Jean-Kevin Duverne, Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel, Marcus Coco or the newly-signed Kelvin Amian, Centonze was deemed surplus to requirements. The former Metz defender has been loaned to Hellas Verona, who currently sit 16th in Serie A standings.
