Napoli have confirmed the signing of right-back Bartosz Bereszynski from fellow Serie A outfit Sampdoria.
Bereszynski had featured predominantly at left-back for Poland during the FIFA World Cup but he has played at right-back for Samp during his career. Napoli were looking to sign a back-up right-back to Giovanni di Lorenzo and they have now sealed the deal for the Pole.
The club have confirmed that the player has arrived on an initial loan deal, with Napoli having the option to buy him permanently in the summer.
The right-back has played 15 times in Serie A so far for Samp this season but he didn’t feature in the previous game because the move was going through. During his time at Samp overall, Bereszysnki has scored only one goal and has racked up nine assists. He also shown capability of playing at centre-back for the club and Napoli would find his versatility quite useful.
