“The goalkeeper joins the Club on a permanent basis, signing a multi-year contract with the Viale del Fante-based club.

“The City Football Group, President Mirri and the entire rosanero family welcome Mattia to Palermo.”

According to reports from Sky Sport transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Palermo have agreed to pay a fee just shy of €500,000 for the 33-year-old goalkeeper, who had been into the final 12 months of his contract with the Old Lady.

The ‘multi-year’ contract that Palermo referred to will reportedly run for three years until the summer of 2029.

Perin has spent the last eight years of his career on Juve’s books, having joined in a permanent deal from Genoa in the summer of 2018. He has since served as an understudy to several Bianconeri stoppers, including Wojciech Szczesny, Gianluigi Buffon and more recently Michele Di Gregorio.

Perin has gone on to make 70 appearances across all competitions for Juventus including 42 in Serie A.

Juventus have completely overhauled their goalkeeping department this summer, as Di Gregorio has left to join AFC Bournemouth and now Perin is off the club’s books as well following his transfer to Palermo.
