La Liga outfit Sevilla have on Saturday announced a departure from the club’s first-team ranks. The player to have brought his Nervionenses stint to a close? Tanguy Nianzou.
Stopper Nianzou is for his part fresh off another frustrating campaign on the books of Sevilla in 2025/26.
Owing to a string of muscular problems, the 24-year-old was restricted to just 12 league appearances, eight of which came in the form of starts.
Such woes, however, did not stop speculation from mounting in the media this summer surrounding widespread transfer interest in the Frenchman.
And as alluded to above, this weekend, one such suitor have tied up a deal to bring Nianzou back to his home country for the seasons to come.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Sevilla:
‘Sevilla FC and French club LOSC Lille have reached an agreement for the transfer of Tanguy Nianzou to the Ligue 1 club. Sevilla FC thanks Tanguy Nianzou for his cooperation in closing the deal and wishes him the best of luck in his new professional stage.’
