Officially confirmed: FC Bayern seals its next contract extension | OneFootball

FC Bayern Munich is having a thoroughly exciting summer. Although the club began planning its roster early on the transfer front, there is still plenty of work to be done when it comes to contract extensions. 

And that’s not just the case with the first team. Michael Olise and Harry Kane are expected to sign new contracts as soon as possible. However, negotiations could potentially drag on a bit longer, and talks with Olise are still generally up in the air.

But there are also players in the reserve team and the youth academy whose contracts with the record champions are set to expire soon. Discussions about new contracts are also on the horizon for them.

Roy Snip extends his contract with FC Bayern

The record champions have now successfully concluded talks with one player: Roy Snip. The 18-year-old Munich native has been playing for the club’s youth teams since the summer of 2017 and is slated to play for the U19s in the upcoming season. His new contract now runs through the summer of 2028.

“Roy has been wearing the FC Bayern jersey since the U10s. As a player in the older age group, he’s now set to take his next step with us in the U19s,” said Michael Wiesinger, Head of Sports and Youth Development at FCB.

FC Bayern also announced that center forward Piet Burghardt, who is one year younger, has extended his contract and has been loaned to the U19 team of his youth club, Spvgg Unterhaching, for the upcoming season.

This further advances personnel planning at the campus as well. Bayern is counting on a strong youth system that consistently enables the club to integrate talented players into the first team. That’s why the club is always on the lookout for new, exciting transfers. Most recently, the club signed Matous Srb, among others, who is set to be gradually developed at Bayern.
