Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the departure of goalkeeper Michael Zetterer to Premier League side Leeds United after one season at the club. According to Get German Football News, Leeds will pay about €5m and he has agreed a contract until 2029 with Daniel Farke’s team.

The former Werder Bremen keeper joined Frankfurt last summer and made 28 competitive appearances across the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League in 2025/26.

His exit comes amid a reshuffle in goal, with Noah Atubolu arriving from SC Freiburg and installed as first-choice. Kauã Santos is expected to act as Atubolu’s deputy, pushing Zetterer further down the order.

Leeds have moved to add depth, with Zetterer set to operate behind new No. 1 James Trafford.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung thanked Zetterer for his commitment to Eintracht and wished him success in the next chapter.
