As reported by Foot Mercato, new OGC Nice coach Lucien Favre is looking to sell a trio of senior players this summer transfer window.
Although key defender Jean-Clair Todibo is expected to stay regardless of interest from Sevilla, Napoli, Newcastle and Manchester United, the club’s midfield department could see an overhaul. Closest to an exit is former Southampton and France international midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who has been deemed surplus to requirement under Favre despite a year to run on his deal with the club. He could be followed out of the Allianz Riviera by Gabonese international Mario Lemina, whose deal runs to 2024, in the event of a suitable offer, say the outlet. PSG sporting director Luis Campos has also spoken to Lilian Thuram about signing his son and Nice midfielder Khéphren.
Danish striker Kasper Dolberg is also on Favre’s list of likely departures for the summer with the Swiss coach not planning on using Dolberg as his preferred number nine in his new 4-3-3 set up this season.
