Okan Buruk is reported to have rejected a Tottenham Hotspur approach to remain in charge of Galatasaray. Tutto Mercato reports Spurs made contact in the past few hours over an immediate move to London.

Fanatik says the 52-year-old declined, unwilling to leave mid-season, and he is under contract in Istanbul until summer 2026.

The stance comes as Galatasaray chase a historic fourth consecutive Süper Lig title and continue to make strides in the UEFA Champions League.

Buruk’s run of three straight league crowns and an aggressive, high-pressing style has made him one of Europe’s most sought-after coaches. Clubs in Serie A, notably Lazio, and Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are said to be tracking him.

Fluent in Italian from his Inter Milan days, his profile has placed him at the top of several shortlists for the 2026 summer window.

For Galatasaray supporters, his choice to stay is a timely boost. Buruk has often stressed the weight of responsibility he feels at a club he supports, and his focus now is on more domestic success and further European progress.
