OL could earn up to €7m if Barcola moves to Liverpool from PSG | OneFootball

Lyon could earn up to €7m if Barcola moves from PSG to Liverpool, via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism.

According to Le Progres, negotiations that once touched €170m are now around €140m. The move is described as close, with fewer than five days left in the summer window.

Barcola joined PSG from OL on 31 August 2023 for €45m plus €5m in bonuses. He came through OL’s academy after starting at Les Buers.

OL did not include a sell-on clause in that transfer. They would therefore receive only the five per cent solidarity payment allocated to clubs that trained the player between ages 12 and 23.

Les Buers in Villeurbanne are not included, as he left them at nine. Such a sum would aid Lyon’s finances.
