Nottingham Forest have signed Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP.
As reported by Nottingham Post, the Ivory Coast international is the latest summer arrival under new head coach Oliver Glasner, following Xaver Schlager into the City Ground before the new Premier League season.
Diomande has agreed a four-year contract, with Forest holding an option for a further year.
He expressed delight at joining a historic club, feels motivated by the move and believes the team can achieve very good things this season. He is looking forward to meeting team-mates and the head coach, and to the City Ground crowd.
Chief football officer George Syrianos welcomed the signing, praising Diomande’s experience for his age after key roles in title winning teams and runs into the latter stages of the Champions League. He is viewed as powerful and commanding, with a winning mentality and shared ambition.
