Hakon Arnar Haraldsson produced a superb 21st-minute strike against PSG at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, after an Olivier Giroud lay-off.
According to L'Équipe, Giroud collected the ball with his back to goal and threaded a pass into space for the Iceland international.
The move unfolded around 20 metres from the Paris goal, and Haraldsson took aim and picked out Safonov’s top corner.
The forward has started the season brightly, having already been involved in Lille’s second goal at Angers in a 2-0 win on the opening day.
The effort opened the scoring for Lille on Friday night.
