A return to Marseille with major responsibilities

OM: Habib Beye takes the helm (official)
Olympique de Marseille has officially appointed its new head coach. Habib Beye will now be tasked with leading the team to greater success.
The Senegalese manager has signed a contract running until June 30, 2027. He will make his debut on the bench this Friday against Stade Brestois 29. Beye replaces Roberto De Zerbi, whose departure was confirmed following tense discussions with the club's management. The Italian leaves OM in fourth place in the league and still in contention in the Coupe de France.
Before returning to La Canebière, Beye was in charge of Stade Rennais FC. His spell there was mixed, marked by a string of inconsistent results. A former Marseille defender from 2003 to 2007 (177 appearances), Habib Beye returns to a club he knows well—this time with the mission of taking them back to the top.
