Fabrizio Romano reports that OM have a verbal agreement with Dutch defensive midfielder Quinten Timber, and are negotiating with Feyenoord to bring him in quickly.
Seeking midfield reinforcements, OM have been in talks for several days to sign Angers midfielder Himad Abdelli, who has six months left on his deal.
Timber, 24, is also out of contract in six months. The twin brother of Jurriën, a right-back at Arsenal, is at odds with coach Robin Van Persie, who publicly criticised his commitment at the weekend.
A departure has been discussed since, and OM now need to convince Feyenoord. A conclusion is hoped by Tuesday, while other European clubs are interested in Timber. He has made 24 appearances this season.
Timber’s arrival would not alter OM’s plan to add Abdelli in midfield, where the club intend to part with Darryl Bakola and Angel Gomes.
