About 70 Lyon supporters will head to Istanbul to back OL inside Fenerbahçe’s 50,000-seat stadium, according to Le Progres.

Many had hoped to travel to Türkiye on Tuesday, but the short turnaround since qualification against Sparta Prague eight days ago, plus steep air fares, has curtailed numbers.

On OL’s previous visit to Fenerbahçe, roughly 250 fans made the trip, with that Europa League group game scheduled well in advance.

This latest journey to the Asian side of Istanbul is closer in scale to the support seen in Baku, Azerbaijan, for the Qarabag fixture.

Attention now turns to the return leg at Groupama Stadium, where more than 2,000 Fenerbahçe supporters are expected, particularly in the away section.
