The Pirates are looking to bolster their defence for the upcoming season with more than one deal.
Khulumani Ndamane, TS Galaxy's star player, is officially on the Buccaneers' radar and they want to sign him to strengthen their defensive line before the start of the 2025-2026 season. The 21-year-old is a technically gifted player who has become one of the most prominent players in his position in the Betway Premiership and Orlando Pirates have never been far from shining.
The future of defender Ndamane hangs in the balance as two South African clubs, Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United, emerge as strong contenders for his signature. While European interest had previously surfaced, negotiations appear to have stalled, leaving the domestic duo at the forefront of the pursuit.
According to a well-placed source, the player’s current club, Galaxy, is determined to retain him. However, the unpredictable nature of football means a move cannot be ruled out. "Galaxy is fighting hard to keep him, but in this game, anything can change in an instant," the insider revealed.
Another key figure close to the situation hinted that while local clubs are pushing for a deal, an overseas offer would take precedence. "If a foreign club steps in with a concrete proposal, that would undoubtedly be the preferred option for the player," the source added.
As the transfer saga unfolds, all eyes remain on Ndamane’s next move—will he stay put, embrace a new challenge in the DStv Premiership, or await a potential overseas opportunity? The coming weeks promise to deliver answers.
