Oscar Etoundi signs first professional contract with Montpellier

Oscar Etoundi has signed his first professional contract with Montpellier, the 18-year-old Cameroonian left-back agreeing a three-season deal.

According to L'Équipe, he completed Montpellier's full pre-season this summer before returning to Cameroon, then came back to Hérault on Wednesday.

Born in 2008 in Douala, Cameroon, Etoundi developed at Academy Foot in the same city.

He came to prominence at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 and attracted interest from several European clubs, including Villarreal.

He has opted for Montpellier, which has a partnership with the Cameroonian academy.
