Despite drawing 1-1 with Austria, Denmark U21s can secure their place at the 2027 European Championship in their final qualifier against Belgium. Can Uzun was not in UEFA Nations League action on Friday.

Belgium currently lead the way in 2027 European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group I, but Oscar Højlund and his Denmark U21 team-mates still harbour hopes of leapfrogging the Red Devils at the top of the section and securing their place at the finals.

Højlund captained his side once again on Friday as the Danes played out a 1-1 draw with Austria in Vienna, leaving them needing to beat the Belgians in their final qualifier to clinch top spot.

Elsewhere, Türkiye were beaten 3-0 by Belgium in the UEFA Nations League. Arthur Theate, who is currently on loan at Bologna, was on the bench for the home side, but Can Uzun – a starter in Türkiye’s first two group games – was not involved.
