Victor Osimhen could become the headline striker of the window’s final weeks if Galatasaray and the player allow a move. Early signs suggest they might.

Tottenham have lodged an opening offer of around 60 million euros, which Galatasaray rejected. Around Barcelona there have been suggestions he could leave for roughly 75 million euros. According to Catalan newspaper Sport, he earns about 15 million euros net plus bonuses and controls his image rights.

Any deal would be hugely expensive unless he accepts a pay cut, and so far he has not. Rumours of a tax dispute with Galatasaray have emerged, and he has reportedly relinquished the captaincy, hinting at a fast-changing mood.

Atletico Madrid made enquiries but stepped back over those wages. Barcelona are not weighing up the option for now, even while accepting he is an elite striker.

For the moment, the market waits to see whether the Nigerian agrees to go, despite being comfortable across his two years in Türkiye.

One thing looks certain, he will not be heading to Italy. A clause means Galatasaray would owe Napoli 70 million euros if he joins a Serie A club, leaving England or Spain as likelier destinations.
