2025 Ballon d’Or winner has been sidelined since limping off against Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembele is reportedly on course to return from injury for the Champions League clash against Tottenham.

PSG welcome Tottenham to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night in a repeat of the UEFA Super Cup showdown from earlier in the season.

However, the Champions League holders have been sweating on the fitness of the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner heading into their fifth fixture of the League Phase.

The Frenchman was forced off during the defeat to Bayern Munich on November 4 and has subsequently missed PSG’s last two games as well as Les Bleus’ World Cup qualification double header.

That said, in potentially a massive boost for PSG, L’Equipe clam the signs are positive for Dembele to make his return from injury against Spurs.

While there is no guarantee that the 28-year-old will be named in Luis Enrique’s matchday squad, the report does add that Dembele is ‘feeling good’ ahead of the Champions League showdown and is ‘hungry’ to make his return.

It has been an injury-hit campaign so far for Dembele as he was also forced to miss the game against former club Barcelona at the beginning of October.

He has, though, still managed to score three goals in nine appearances across all competitions and claimed an assist as PSG battled back from two goals down to beat Spurs on penalties in the aforementioned Super Cup meeting.

PSG have further doubts over Achraf Hakimi and Desire Doue for Wednesday night, but Nuno Mendes is available for selection after completing 90 minutes in the 3-0 win over Le Havre at the weekend.
