Pablo Maffeo completes Valencia medical and starts work at Paterna | OneFootball

According to AS, Pablo Maffeo has completed his Valencia medical after arriving overnight, becoming their latest recruit on loan from Olympiacos with an option to buy.

The full-back is in good condition after pre-season with the Greek club, then headed to Paterna for his first session.

He worked individually at first and met Carlos Corberán. He said he had spoken to the head coach, who outlined his view of the player and urged him to come in with enthusiasm.

Valencia now aim to have him available for Saturday against Celta, the club’s official season opener. After his medical and initial work, only one group session remains tomorrow to fit into Corberán’s system.

A starting place appears unlikely. The club have yet to announce the deal, with confirmation due in the coming hours.
