Raphael Veiga is a target for América-MEX this window and could leave Palmeiras in the coming days, but his future is not settled. Discussions are ongoing.
According to Nosso Palestra, the No 23 is not yet convinced about a switch to Mexican football, and the club and Abel Ferreira are awaiting his signal on whether to proceed with a transfer or stay. By Tuesday afternoon, América-MEX had not filed an official bid.
Palmeiras and the player’s representatives are aligning terms, including figures, so a potential deal with América-MEX can move forward.
Both parties believe talks should not drag on, and prefer a swift decision to respect his eight complete seasons and many honours at the club.
At the end of 2025, neither Palmeiras nor Veiga ruled out an exit in this window if a proposal favourable to both sides arrived.
Veiga has played 383 matches for Palmeiras, scoring 109 goals and winning 11 trophies, and he has scored in finals of the Conmebol Libertadores, Copa do Brasil and the Club World Cup.
