Palmeiras are retracing the contours of their last state title charge, but 2026 arrives with different off-field conditions.
According to Nosso Palestra, the 2024 quarter-final brought a 5-1 win over Ponte Preta at Arena Barueri, with Flaco López hitting a hat-trick and Endrick still involved.
After that rout, they had the comfort of deciding the semi-final against Novorizontino and the final with Santos at Allianz Parque, even as the pitch was being adjusted, a situation comparable to now.
In 2026 the sporting context is similar, but logistics shift. The quarter-final will be against Capivariano at Arena Barueri. Matches remain there because Allianz Parque is switching from synthetic turf to a new surface.
As a result, Palmeiras are unlikely to use their home for the semi-finals, and uncertainty remains over any potential final.
If 2024 was defined by a statement win, standout displays and home advantage, 2026 will test their ability to sustain standards away from their prime stage and to reclaim silverware after a disappointing 2025.
