Palmeiras recorded a R$ 13.4 million deficit in November. Even so, the year to November shows a R$ 282.8 million surplus and total revenue of R$ 1,616,265,000, extending the club’s annual record.
According to Globo.com, the November shortfall was better than the budgeted R$ 25.3 million deficit. The cumulative surplus is slightly below October’s level, and far ahead of the plan which envisaged a R$ 41.6 million deficit.
Operational net revenue reached R$ 1,460,000,000 by November, with a further R$ 151 million in financial income driven by currency effects and investment interest.
In November alone, net operational revenue was R$ 97.8 million, mainly from prize money. Receipts were more than R$ 40 million above forecast, though spending also ran above budget.
The month’s largest revenue lines were prize money at R$ 39.4 million, advertising and sponsorship at R$ 17.1 million, and broadcast rights at R$ 12 million.
The annual revenue record had already been broken in September at R$ 1,400,000,000, then increased again by November.
