Palmeiras held two training sessions on Friday at the Academia de Futebol and confirmed a second training match for the mid-season break. They will face Primavera on Saturday morning.

According to Globo.com, kick-off is at 10:00 at the training complex, with TV Palmeiras beginning coverage one hour earlier on YouTube.

On Wednesday, the first run-out ended in a 6-0 win over Mauaense. Paulinho scored twice, with Heittor, Riquelme Fillipi, Luighi and Allan, all academy graduates, completing the rout.

The Primavera game could be the first chance for supporters to see Alexander Barboza in a Palmeiras shirt. He sat out the Mauaense match and is still in an adaptation period.

Friday morning’s work centred on physical conditioning, using sleds for strength, traction and power, then tactical drills in small-sided seven-a-side. After lunch, the group focused on aerial work, both attacking and defensive.

Emiliano Martínez and Piquerez, already out of the World Cup with Uruguay, will return to training soon after a short rest. The pair will not feature in the training match.
