According to Globo.com, Palmeiras have received an $800,000 bid, about R$ 4.1 million at the current rate, from Saudi side Al Qadsiah for 23-year-old centre-back Pati Maldaner. The club and the player’s representatives are evaluating the terms.

If accepted, the transfer would be the second-biggest sale in the history of Brazilian women’s football, meaning a departure from a domestic club.

The fee would top the move that took defender Isa Haas from Cruzeiro to América of Mexico for about R$ 3.1 million, and would trail only Amanda Gutierres’s switch from Palmeiras to Boston Legacy for $1.1 million, roughly R$ 5.9 million at the time.

Maldaner, from Pinhalzinho in Santa Catarina, joined Palmeiras in 2024 and quickly became a defensive pillar.

She was named the best in her position in the 2025 Paulista Feminino and renewed her contract then, remaining for the 2026 season. She has made 15 appearances this year across the Brasileiro, the Supercopa and the Paulista.
