Palmeiras do not intend to use midfielder Rômulo next season. According to Nosso Palestra, the club are leaning towards a permanent sale.

A meeting is planned at the end of the season between the coaching staff, Palmeiras and Rômulo’s representatives to settle his future.

The club want between four and five million euros, around R$ 20-25 million at current rates, and aim to retain a sell-on percentage.

Signed in 2024, Rômulo is under contract with Palmeiras until the end of 2028.

The midfielder, on loan at Novorizontino, has been one of the competition’s standouts this season.

He drew enquiries from clubs in Russia, Japan and Brazil in the last window, though talks did not progress.

Rômulo has 40 appearances, 15 goals and 12 assists this season, form that has increased his market value and attracted interest from abroad.
