Panama announce World Cup squad | OneFootball

Panama have announced their 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, where they have been drawn in the same group as England in what is a tough Group L.

Head coach Thomas Christiansen has finalised his selection ahead of the tournament, with the squad now set to begin their preparations after the official announcement. 

Among the notable inclusions are experienced striker Cecilio Waterman and veteran goalkeeper Luis Mejía, both key figures in a squad largely made up of players based across North and South America.

Panama know the scale of the challenge ahead, with fixtures against England, Croatia and Ghana awaiting them in the group stage.

Their campaign begins on 27 June against Ghana, before testing themselves against England and Croatia in what will be a major examination at world football’s biggest tournament.
