Mateo Pellegrino is one of the players Juventus want to sign this summer, and Parma appear to be preparing for his departure after finding a potential replacement for him.
The Bianconeri view him as one of the attacking options they need to add to their squad during this transfer window. However, Juventus are not the only club interested in securing his signature, with competition expected for the forward.
According to Tuttojuve, Parma have reached an agreement to sign David Romero from Tigre, and they consider him a replacement for Pellegrino, who could be on his way to Juventus.
The move suggests that Parma are expecting Pellegrino to leave the club, with the incoming signing potentially allowing them to prepare for life without the striker. Juventus will now have to work on a deal if they want to bring him to Turin.
Fiorentina have also identified Pellegrino as a player they want to add to their squad. They are ready to compete with Juventus for his signature in the coming days, creating further uncertainty over where the attacker will continue his career.
Juventus are looking to add another striker this summer after losing Lois Openda and Dusan Vlahovic, while only bringing in Randal Kolo Muani as a replacement option.
The Old Lady could also part ways with Jonathan David in the coming days because he has continued to frustrate and does not appear suited to the way Spalletti expects his strikers to play. Juventus want the Canadian to leave, and his departure could open the door for Pellegrino to arrive.
If Juventus complete a deal to sell David during this transfer window, they could make a move for Pellegrino and strengthen their attacking options. The club remains focused on improving the squad, but they will need to move quickly, with Fiorentina also showing interest in the Parma forward.
