Pedro Milans registered with CBF’s BID, cleared to debut for Corinthians

Late Wednesday afternoon (21st), right after his official announcement, the right-back Pedro Milans, 23 years old, who was at Peñarol, Uruguay, was registered by Corinthians in the CBF's Daily Information Bulletin (BID) and can now make his debut for the club. Now, the player is only waiting for the formalization of his contract with the Paulista Football Federation (FPF) to be registered in the Paulistão.

If registered in the coming days, the athlete could make his debut for Corinthians as early as next Sunday (25th), at 8:30 PM (Brasília time), at the Benito Agnelo Castellano Stadium, in Rio Claro, for the fifth round of the first phase of the Paulista Championship. Currently, the Alvinegro has 23 out of 35 registered in List A of the tournament and eight in List B, which has an unlimited number of registrations. The Parque São Jorge club can register new athletes in the competition until the second week of February.

Pedro Milans left Peñarol at the end of last year when his contract was not renewed. In 2025, he played 42 games, providing two assists. Free on the market, the player arrives to compete for the starting position with Matheuzinho, who currently has João Vitor ‘Jacaré’ (18 years old) as his immediate backup, who, in turn, has not yet had a sequence of matches with Dorival Júnior's technical team.

Last year, when the number 2 could not play, Dorival Júnior improvised Charles, Cacá, or even Félix Torres at right-back. Behind the scenes, the Corinthians coach also pointed out the need to hire a defensive midfielder, a more advanced midfielder, and wingers.

Who is Pedro Milans?

Pedro Milans began his professional football career at Juventud, Uruguay, the club where he was trained and played between the 2019 and 2022 seasons. For the team, the right-back accumulated 60 matches, contributing three goals and six assists, numbers that marked his development and consolidation in the national scene.

In 2022, Milans was signed by Peñarol, where he stayed until 2025 and made a leap in his career. For the traditional Uruguayan club, the player totaled 112 official games, maintaining offensive production with three goals and eight assists, besides establishing himself as an absolute starter from 2023, especially in national and international competitions.

During his time at Peñarol, Pedro Milans also achieved significant victories. The right-back was part of the squad that won the Uruguayan Championship in the 2023/24 season and the Uruguayan Cup in 2024/25.
