Following on from their disappointing defeat to Manchester United, Manchester City are now preparing to face Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in UEFA Champions League action. Pep Guardiola’s side needs to pick up all three points at the Aspmyra Stadion to almost guarantee themselves a crucial top-eight finish in the UEFA Champions League league phase table. Heading into Wednesday night’s match, Pep Guardiola looks to be short of options in terms of his team selection based on the injury situation surrounding the Manchester City squad.
There are a host of players unavailable due to injury for Manchester City’s match against Bodø/Glimt. Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Savinho and Oscar Bobb will all miss the match due to injury. Spanish midfielder Nico is out of the match due to the knock he sustained during Manchester City’s recent 1-all draw with Brighton. Matheus Nunes missed the Manchester derby due to the flu and it is hoped that he can return Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Wolves.

Omar Marmoush is unlikely to feature against Bodø/Glimt as per Pep Guardiola’s update after Manchester City’s defeat to Manchester United.
Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva is suspended for the match at the Aspmyra Stadion. Antoine Semenyo cannot play as is he unable to be registered in Manchester City’s Champions League squad until the knockout stage.
UPDATE: Matheus Nunes and Nico will not feature in tomorrow night’s match. Neither player was included in Manchester City’s travelling squad for the match against Bodø/Glimt. Omar Marmoush has been included in City’s travelling squad. The full Manchester City travelling squad can be seen below.
Manchester City travelling squad: James Trafford, Tijjani Reijnders, Nathan Ake, Omar Marmoush, Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, Marcus Bettinelli, Rodri, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Nico O’Reilly, Abdukodir Khusanov, Phil Foden, Charlie Gray, Divine Mukasa, Max Alleyne, Rico Lewis, Kian Noble, Stephen Mfuni, Tyrone Samba.
The Manchester City squad will train later today at the Aspmyra Stadion ahead of tomorrow night’s match. As of right now, Pep Guardiola appears to be short of options in terms of team selection for the match against Bodø/Glimt. Manchester City need to win tomorrow night, and the players who take the pitch will have to push through fatigue to do the job that is required in Norway.
