Sunderland resumed their Premier League campaign with a comfortable home win over Burnley and a set of standout ratings. According to Sunderland Echo, three players were awarded nines.
Habib Diarra struck twice, with the first later credited as an own goal, to put the hosts in control before Chemsdine Talbi added a third at the Stadium of Light on Monday night.
Right-back Nordi Mukiele was almost dominant defensively and timed his overlaps smartly, having a hand in all three goals to earn nine.
Goalkeeper Robin Roefs had little to save but stayed calm on the ball, choosing good moments to go direct into Brobbey who unsettled Burnley, rated seven.
Dan Ballard delivered a commanding display after an early scare, winning duels in the air and on the floor and stepping out well in possession, rated eight.
Omar Alderete had a few nervy moments early in possession, yet his composure ultimately told as he grew into a good game, rated seven.
