Sunderland mounted a superb second half fightback to beat Everton in their penultimate Premier League outing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Merlin Rohl’s deflected effort put the home side ahead before the interval, but Brian Brobbey levelled and late strikes from Enzo Le Fee and Wilson Isidor sealed it, lifting the Black Cats into the top half.
According to Sunderland Echo, goalkeeper Robin Roefs was given seven after a crucial late stop from O’Brien, composed work under pressure and assured set piece handling, with no chance on the opener.
Right back Lutsharel Geertruida was rated seven, offering a disciplined defensive display and venturing forward less than against Manchester United last week.
Centre back Nordi Mukiele earned seven, strong in the air and largely untroubled by Beto, then Thierno Barry.
Omar Alderete was marked six after starting well before going down with what looked to be a side injury. It is a concern before the final game of the campaign and with the World Cup on the horizon.
