Fiorentina coach Stefano Pioli warns his players that the ‘adjustment period is over’ and insists Moise Kean is ‘not a problem.’
Fiorentina coach Pioli held a press conference ahead of Sunday’s Tuscan derby between Pisa and Fiorentina.
The Viola are still looking for their first win in Serie A and have only collected two points in four matches.

“Today, I told the team that the adjustment period is over. The ideas and principles of play must be clear now. Too much emphasis is placed on the difference between formations, but it doesn’t really change much. The ideas are clear. A coach chooses based on situations,” Pioli said on Friday via TMW.
Questioned on whether Kean is more effective when playing as a lone striker, Pioli replied: “Moise is not a problem. He can do well on his own or playing alongside another striker. The priority is to move the ball better, build more, and push forward together more effectively. I expect to find different solutions compared to what we’ve seen so far.”

Kean has made five appearances across all competitions, but hasn’t yet scored a goal at a club level in 2025-26.
Pioli also commented on the knee injury to Tariq Lamptey: “The movements on the pitch and those done on Wednesday were negative. Then, with the tests, we found out that the ligament was not holding, so surgery was necessary. I’m sorry, he had fit in well with the qualities that suited us. He’s disappointed, but calm.”
