Gonzalo Plata arrived in Belém on Monday to report back to Flamengo after his transfer to Dynamo Moscow was cancelled 10 days ago.
According to Globo.com, the Ecuadorian forward will train with the squad in the Pará capital before flying to Quito, where the team face Independiente del Valle on Thursday. He has been included for the Libertadores tie.
Out of training for more than one week, he will undergo physical assessments and is expected to start on the bench.
Club executives were irritated by Plata's trip to Dubai, where his representatives sought offers of six million dollars, below expectations.
Tensions deepened after leaked comments from the president about the player's nightlife in Rio. Plata is under contract until August 2029 and will not be sold.
