Lazio wasted a two-goal lead against Milan, who rallied back in the second half to rescue a draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

Matteo Cancellieri opened the scoring early on, while Tijjani Noslin ensured the Biancocelesti headed to the interval with a deserved two-goal lead. However, the momentum changed after the break, and Diego Moreira’s introduction proved decisive. The Belgian scored twice between the 65th and 67th minutes to restore parity.

A mixed bag from the Greek, who made solid saves to deny Samuel Chukwueze and Christian Pulisic in particular, but allowed Moreira’s shot to go between his legs on Milan’s first goal. His poor distribution repeatedly cost Lazio possession, at times in dangerous areas.

Romano Floriani Mussolini – 6.5

Another fine showing from the right-back who put Noslin through with a perfect square ball and was a constant nuisance for the Milan backline in the first half. However, he struggled to cope with the explosiveness of the fresh Moreira in the second period.

Josip Sutalo – 6.5

A convincing Lazio debut from the Croatian defender who nullified Ruben Loftus-Cheek and made several important clearances.

Oliver Provstgaard – 7

The Dane comfortably dealt with Goncalo Ramos and Francesco Camarda. He is virtually unbeatable in the air.

Nuno Tavares – 7.5

An unstoppable performance from the Portuguese left-back who evoked memories of his Lazio debut against Milan two years ago (which also ended in a 2-2 draw). He played an integral role in both of his team’s goals, especially the first.

David Frattesi – 6

The Inter Milan loanee’s glorious scoring run has finally come to an end, although he almost found the bottom corner with a clever touch. He was happy to do the dirty work in midfield.

Reda Belahyane – 7.5

The Moroccan is growing from strength to strength with every new performance. He bossed the middle of the park, prevailed in his duel against Alphadjo Cisse, and supported the defenders in their battle against Ramos.

Kenneth Taylor – 7

A superb first-half display from the former Ajax man who pulled the strings in midfield. He instigated three chances, two of them wasted by Zaccagni, and then delivered the square ball that culminated in the second goal. Lost some steam after the break and was replaced in the final 15 minutes.

Matteo Cancellieri – 6.5

The Italian winger should have avoided a needless dive in the opening minutes, but he kept his composure to finish off the opener after beating Pervis Estupinan for the ball. He also tracked back to support his teammates before leaving the pitch at the hour mark.

Tijjani Noslin – 6.5

After squandering a glorious chance to break the deadlock, the versatile attacker scored Lazio’s second in what some might describe as a lucky goal. However, he certainly deserves credit for his perseverance and bravery as he put his face in front of the ball while Koni De Winter tried to clear it.

Mattia Zaccagni – 7

The Lazio captain provided the assist for Cancellieri’s opener and instigated the play that led to Noslin’s goal. He absolutely tormented Mario Gila, but he loses a point for failing to beat Mike Maignan in a one-on-one chance in the first half.

Substitutes

Gustav Isaksen – 5.5

He gave Pavlovic a few headaches and a yellow card, but he had to stay with Moreira on the second goal instead of double-marking Rabiot.

Andrea Pinamonti – 5

The former Sassuolo striker was hardly given a sniff as he suffered from a dire lack of service, with Lazio dropping deep for the entire second half.

Albert Gudmundsson – 5.5

The Icelandic star was supposed to play between the lines and add some creativity, but the Biancocelesti were a lost cause by the time he came in.
