Police at Vasco training as David targeted in interstate probe | OneFootball

Police were still at Vasco's CT Moacyr Barbosa on Monday morning as players arrived for training. According to Globo.com, striker David was the subject of search and seizure warrants linked to an interstate drugs and weapons investigation led by Espírito Santo Civil Police.

Officers reached the training ground before the session began, and many players and staff entered while they remained on site. The operation runs across several states, mobilising about 100 Civil Police officers, more than 38 vehicles and two helicopters.

The search started at David's home in Barra da Tijuca. He was alone and watched as a mobile phone, computers and documents were seized. He then drove his own car to the training base to follow the procedure, declining to comment when he left.

At the CT, agents checked his dressing-room belongings, finding only boots. They were received by technical director Felipe Maestro and football manager Clauber Rocha.

In Rio de Janeiro, units from the 14th Police Station in Leblon and the specialist arms, munitions and explosives division executed three warrants. Investigators are also examining possible involvement of other professional athletes and businessmen. The club is cooperating with authorities and is awaiting the conclusion of the investigations.
