According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica are very close to signing 19-year-old Porto forward Léo Fajardo. The deal would see the teenager cross the divide between the rivals.
Fajardo lost ground at the Dragão last season and his future remains unresolved. He made only nine appearances for the under-19s, scoring five goals.
In June, Porto were said to be open to negotiating his exit. He is contracted until 2028 but does not figure in Franceso Farioli’s plans.
A switch to the Luz would offer a new stage of his development at one of Portugal’s leading clubs. It is an approach that could stir the market.
He had earlier struck 20 goals in 31 outings in his first under-19 campaign. Any switch now would be the next step in a promising trajectory.
