Pompey confirmed the news via a post on their official club website yesterday afternoon.
Casley was under contract at Portsmouth for the new season but she will take on a new challenge with Oxford United. The Yellows have paid an undisclosed fee to secure the player’s services.
Portsmouth signed Casley from Oxford United in summer 2023. The player was Oxford United captain on the back of what was her second spell with the third tier club. She was one of Oxford United’s prized assets and was a hugely popular member of the squad.
In her time with Pompey, Casley has gone on to make 55 appearances for the club in all competitions. The player helped Portsmouth win the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title in 2023/2024 while she was a member of the team that battled bravely to secure Barclays WSL2 survival last season.
After re-joining Oxford United, Casley said “It’s the place that I started my career and it’s the place that has given me all of the opportunities that I could ever dream of.
“They’ve built a foundation here now; that’s a credit to the work that everyone has done over the years. Managers come and go, staff members come and go, players come and go but it’s such a special family-orientated club that you just always want to be a part of.”
Casley is the eighth player to leave Portsmouth since the end of last season.
