Barcelona return to La Liga action on Sunday evening as they play host to Getafe at the Estadio Johan Cruyff. Hansi Flick’s side fell five points behind Real Madrid after they won on Saturday, so their aim will be to close that gap to two.
It’s a quick turnaround for the Catalans following their victory at Newcastle United on Thursday, so it is expected that Hansi Flick will make significant changes to the side that started at St James’ Park. And according to Sport, there will be four alterations made by the Barcelona head coach.
Flick confirmed during his pre-match press conference that Pau Cubarsi is available despite suffering a knock in midweek, but he is expected to be benched against Getafe. Eric Garcia would replace him, with the other three changes seeing Marc Casado, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres return to the line-up in place of Frenkie de Jong, Fermin Lopez and Robert Lewandowski.

Getafe won 2-0 against Real Oviedo last time out, in what was a pleasing result and performance for Los Azulones. And on the back of this, head coach Jose Bordalas is expected to keep the same starting line-up from that match, as he prepares to nullify Barcelona with his standard 5-3-2 system.
Barcelona start as overwhelming favourites for this one, but anyone that knows La Liga is aware that this will be a very tough test for the Catalans. Bordalas’ Getafe have caused many problems for them in recent times, and last season, they managed to score only twice across the two meetings (1-1 and 1-0).
It remains to be seen whether Flick gets more joy on Sunday, but it will not be easy without the services of Lamine Yamal – although Barcelona have won both of their matches during his injury absence.
