Fer Lopez's performances at Molineux have caught the eyes of clubs higher up the food chain
AFC Bournemouth are reportedly keeping tabs on Wolverhampton Wanderers' star performer, Fer Lopez, as exit talk continues to emerge over the immediate future of Vitality Stadium favourite, Alex Scott.
That is according to TEAMtalk, although some slightly negative news has also developed over the current fitness of both the English and Spanish stars as the extended first international window of the season comes to a close.
Wolves have started their first Championship campaign in eight years rather positively under the newly-appointed Cesar Peixoto, as they sit fourth with a game in hand.
The Black Country outfit have, unarguably, been one of the most entertaining sides to watch in the second tier so far this season, having scored 15 goals in their opening seven games.
Lopez has been a major part of all things good for Wanderers going forward alongside the likes of Mateus Mane, Rodrigo Gomes, Adam Armstrong and Raul Jimenez, and such feats have already generated transfer-themed discourse.
And it has now emerged that Wolves' prized asset could become involved in another transfer saga due to potential knock-on effects at the Vitality Stadium.

Scott, himself, was once in Lopez's position in the Championship, excelling for Bristol City between August 2021 and August 2023, having been handed his breakthrough at Ashton Gate under Nigel Pearson.
The Guernsey-born man then moved to Dorset for £25m, and he has since amassed 14 goal contributions in 95 appearances for the Cherries in their rise to European football under Andoni Iraola, who moved to Liverpool this summer and was replaced by Marco Rose.
Scott made his senior England debut in the 2-0 win over Czechia on September 29th, and despite withdrawing from the camp on Monday after the 7-0 rout against Croatia, during which he earned major plaudits, that hasn't stopped talk of a potential move to Anfield to reunite with Iraola, or Chelsea, in January.
As such, TEAMtalk report that Lopez has emerged as a potential target, with it recently being claimed that Wolves placed a £40m valuation on the Spanish Under-21 international's head due to late-window interest from Crystal Palace.
However, Bournemouth are also said to be casting eyes over Arthur Avom and Kess Smit of FC Lorient and AZ Alkmaar.

It was revealed that Peixoto wished to build his Wolves side around Lopez despite a summer of exit talk surrounding the Spaniard, and that has certainly been the case in the season's early weeks.
The £19m signing of last summer has posted five goals and two assists in nine matches across all competitions so far this season, including a brace in the 3-1 win at Preston North End on August 22nd.
As such, it is hard to argue there has been a more consistent performer in the Championship so far, and the Wolves boss will be hoping that his wish of wanting more from the ex-Celta Vigo man comes true, and that he is not distracted by any exit talk ahead of January.

Unfortunately for Wolves, they too are sweating on Lopez's current fitness after his withdrawal from Spain's Under-21s squad, but in the coming months, if his rich vein of form is sustained, the Molineux club could be sitting on a cash goldmine.
Having set a £40m price tag in August, such a fee could massively increase ahead of the winter window, especially if a bidding war was to unfold.
Bournemouth had rejected a £64m bid from Chelsea for Scott in July, meaning they have similar intentions, but a huge pull for the Cherries in terms of attracting players such as Lopez is their current involvement in the UEFA Europa League.
Lopez did gain a brief taste of the competition during his short loan return to Vigo earlier this year, whilst the South Coast side are one of the favourites to win the trophy this term alongside Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen.
