MASSIMILIANO CANZI

"We played a near-perfect game against an extraordinary opponent. The sequence of the goals leaves a bitter taste, but I've never been happier with a 3-3 draw than I am today. On other occasions, I would have been furious, but today I'm disappointed because the momentum was on our side, but we knew how good OL Lyonnes were. We faced a team that had won 17 games in a row, and this draw also helps us with goal difference, because when you play against players of this calibre, you risk conceding a lot of goals. In the end, we are still satisfied because yesterday it would have been difficult to imagine getting a point. I am proud of the performance. Some of the girls were in tears because of how this draw came about, but I am really happy and tonight even more proud of the squad I have at my disposal, of players who played on equal terms in a top-level match. As this match also shows, no player is left out: they are all important and can help us. Tatiana Pinto is a player we chose precisely because we know she has great character, lives for the team, has immense experience and could help us in any situation - even against top-level opponents.”

TATIANA PINTO

"I don't think the team played badly in the second half. We knew OL Lyonnes would give it their all, they are one of the best teams in the world and they were losing 3-0. We knew we would suffer, but I remain convinced that we deserved to get the three points. I'm sad about the result, but I'm proud of the work we did on the pitch. With the coach, we worked on being compact in defence, closing down space together and exploiting transitions, as we did in the first half."
