Globo.com reports that Lionel Scaloni has named Argentina's squad to face Guatemala on 31, with Benfica's Prestianni and Palmeiras forward Flaco López included, venue to be confirmed.

Prestianni has been accused by Vini Jr of having used racist insults during the meeting with Real Madrid.

The Argentine received a one-match suspension in UEFA competitions and missed the second leg of the 2025/26 Champions League play-offs against Real Madrid, when Benfica were eliminated.

Argentina's schedule was revised on an emergency basis after UEFA and CONMEBOL confirmed last weekend that the Finalissima had been cancelled.

The Copa América 2024 winners were due to meet Spain, champions of the most recent Euros, on 27 in Qatar. Plans changed amid the war in the Middle East, and the teams did not agree a new date or venue.

With Lionel Messi involved, the Guatemala fixture forms part of Argentina's build-up to the 2026 World Cup, which begins in June.
