Preston North End beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Deepdale, ending a four-match Championship losing run.

Callum Lang put Preston ahead in the ninth minute, turning in Delano Burgzorg's cut-back from close range. Lang then glanced in a Jordan Thompson cross from a set piece to double the lead (27.).

Blackburn Rovers were handed a route back when Stanley Mills diverted into his own net soon after the restart (51.). Jayden Fevrier then rattled the bar from range as the visitors pressed (66.).

Daniel Iversen made five saves to protect the lead, notably thwarting Andri Gudjohnsen and Todd Cantwell as Blackburn Rovers chased an equaliser (77.).
