Manchester City and Liverpool go head-to-head at Etihad Stadium this Sunday in the Premier League. The match will be broadcast live at 16:30 on Sky Sports Main Event.

Manchester City currently have 19 points and lie in 2nd position. In their last match, Pep Guardiola's team prevailed 4-1 against Borussia Dortmund (UEFA Champions League 2025/26).

Liverpool have won 18 points to date and are placed in 3rd position. In their last fixture, Arne Slot's team won 1-0 against Real Madrid (UEFA Champions League 2025/26).

The last meeting between the two teams ended with Liverpool winning 2-0.

The Fan Zone

Charlie Webb (Anything Liverpool): Arne Slot's Liverpool side look like they have finally overcome their poor run after form, after two impressive wins against Aston Villa and Real Madrid.

However, Sunday will arguably be their hardest test, as they face off against Pep Guardiola and the most in-form player in the world, Erling Haaland.

Stopping the Norwegian will be a hard task, but with Conor Bradley and Andy Robertson helping solidify the defence in recent weeks, it is not off the cards.

Despite Florian Wirtz impressing against Madrid on Tuesday, it seems unlikely that Slot will drop Cody Gakpo from the left-hand side.

The midfield also picks itself, especially with Dominik Szoboszlai performing as well as he has been recently.

Alexander Isak is also back in contention for this fixture, but it seems certain that Hugo Ekitike will start as he looks to cause the City backline all sorts of trouble.

This game is really there for anyone to win. Liverpool did the double over City last year, winning both games 2-0, so hopefully we see a repeat; however, I'd be more than happy with a draw, considering our recent form.

Prediction: 2-2
