West Bromwich host Preston North End at The Hawthorns this Saturday as Championship action returns after the international break.

The Baggies sit seventh with 14 points, but come off a heavy 3-0 defeat at Millwall, while Preston are fourth on 16 points after a 2-0 win over Charlton.

These two sides' last meeting ended 3-1 in West Brom’s favour and this looks to be an intriguing clash between two sides seemingly set to chase a play-off place this season.

The Fan Zone

AllAlbionFans (AllAlbionFans): An absolute mare at Millwall in our last fixture and two weeks to stew on it, whereas we had two days to enjoy the win at Norwich.

Styles, Molumby, Johnston, Price and Heggebo have been away on international duty, so our manager Ryan Mason has had to prepare with some key players missing.

We always hear about the sides we have a bad record against, but we have won 14 of our last 15 home games against The Lilywhites. I’m sure their fans will be aware of this.

PNE have started well, but it seems like they regularly do this then fall away. They will be coming with confidence.

I think we will edge a tight contest with some nervy moments.

Prediction: 1-0

PNEFC_Stats: It’s now five unbeaten for Preston who travel to face West Brom looking to go six unbeaten for the first time since last December.

The recent record at the Hawthorns is poor with one win and 13 defeats in the last 14, but Preston go into the game in fourth and should be full of confidence after beating Charlton 2-0 in the last match before the international break.

Seven of the 11 goals Preston have scored so far have come from summer signings including both in that win vs The Addicks.

Pol Valentin is out with a hamstring injury and joins our other casualties Robbie Brady, Jordan Thompson, Will Keane and Brad Potts, who all remain unavailable.

Prediction: 1-1
